Hello and Welcome from the HCPRA President!

I’m pleased to welcome you to the Health Care Public Relations Association (HCPRA) website. Thanks for visiting our site!

The new HCPRA Executive began its term at the AGM in May. Your executive team is excited and looking forward to working on some projects that will provide bigger and better service to the membership. Web-based communications will become a strong focus as will a strategy to reach out and get new members involved in HCPRA and we hope to line up some interesting educational sessions over the next year. Watch for future updates and ways in which you can help us meet the needs of our membership.

I want to express my excitement and thanks to those of you who have stepped up to be on the HCPRA Executive this year. We are delighted to have Helen Carkner (BC) as Past President; Judy Brown (ON) as VP Membership; Katie Cronin-Wood (ON) as VP Professional Development; Geoff Wilson (NS) as VP Communications; Jan MacKinnon (NS) as VP Recognition, and we have three Members-at Large: Rennie Brown (AB); Lisa Dutton (Que) and Jas Cheema (BC). Welcome back to some and welcome to the new comers. I look forward to us working together to continually improve and enhance HCPRA.
